A 6” GDP Portal Gear Lift doesn’t make your ride one particular way. It lets you ride however you want. Whether you want a 45% gear reduction or a 30% gear reduction, you can take your Can-Am Commander wherever you want. The gear reduction gives you tons of torque to turn big tires or push through tougher obstacles, and that huge amount of ground clearance means you’ll get over anything.GDP—the Most Trusted Name in Portals
Pay attention to the lifts people are running out at the parks and you’ll quickly realize that more riders roll on GDP Portals than any other portal system. There are thousands getting put to work every weekend on the trails, in the mud, and on everything in between. There’s no kit more trail proven.
Perfect for Mud
Portals and mud are a perfect pair. That ground clearance gives you room for those big mud tires you’ve been eyeing, and the gear reduction gives you the torque to turn them and push through the thickest peanut butter mud. There’s a reason why you see so many GDP portals at every mud park in America.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Portals reduce the stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission by having the gear reduction right in the hub instead of the transmission. That means you get to have more fun than stock while doing less damage than stock. It’s a win-win.
Learn more about how tire size and gear reduction can unleash your machine’s potential.
Unmatched Gear Material
The most important part of a portal gear lift is, of course, the gears. Our top-of-the-line gears are made with precision-ground 9310 alloy steel that’s built to take on extreme forces. They mate perfectly each and every time to give you super quiet portals that run smooth even when you’re pinning the needle.
Stronger Housings by Design
Our cast aluminum and USA-made billet aluminum housings are both made to have extreme strength. We know how to make them strong because we’ve made tens of thousands of them. We have the experience. We’re not just taking a shot in the dark and neither should you.
NOTE: Requires Rhino or Rhino 2.0 axles
- Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
- They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
- There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them
- Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
- A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
- 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
